Tips for sending to Janoshik?

Does anyone have any tips for sending samples to Janoshik? Janoshik say to use Fedex or DHL only. I sent via DHL and got charged $150 for a single sample. FedEx seem to require opening an account. The DHL guy who picked it up asked what was in it and said he needed to 'security check' it. I put 'decorations, no animal products' on the paperwork as requested by Janoshik, but a small vial of liquid is a pretty weird 'decoration' if they open it up...
